Apply online for Sindh MBBS Medical Colleges Admissions 2024

Here we will discuss how you can apply to Sindh Government sector Medical and Dental colleges. This year more than 2 lakh students appear in the MDCAT 2023 exam which is conducted by provincial medical universities. in Sindh, Dow University Counted the entry test for Medical college admissions. More than 44 thousand students appear in DUHS MDCAT 2023. Due to the higher difficulty level in Dow Medical College MDCAT, More than 20 thousand which makes almost half of the medical students fail in MDCAT Sindh exam.

Sindh Medical Colleges Admissions 2024

Dow University has announced that they will be 08 grace or extra mark for all the MDCAT students who appeared in DUHS MDCAT 2022 after receiving a lot of complaints from students about the out-of-syllabus MCQs in the MDCAT test. 

Here we will share the complete procedure on how you can apply for Sindh Public Medical and Dental colleges. in Sindh there are 03 Medical admitting universities. you have to apply depending on your district's domicile. 

Admissions in 1st year MBBS & BDS programs academic session 2022-23, under categories of Merit and Self Finance (UEDP, UEAP, IEAP & UDP) in Medical & Dental Universities and Colleges of Sindh Province.

  • The Dow University of Health Sciences, (DUHS), 
  • Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU), 
  • Liaquat University of Medical & Health
  • Karachi. Karachi. Sciences, (LUMHS), Jamshoro.
  • Peoples University of Medical & Health Sciences 
  • Karachi Medical and Dental College, Karachi.
  • Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University 
  • Gambat Medical College, Gambat.College, Lyari, Karachi.
  • Khairpur Medical College, Khairpur Mirs.

Students from All Districts of Karachi will apply on DUHS, Karachi website. Students from Hyderabad, Tharparkar, Sanghar,  Umerkot, Shaheed Benazirabad-Nawabshah, Jamshoro, Thatta, Matiari, Sujawal, Tando Allahyar, Badin, Tando Mohammad Khan, Mirpurkhas will apply on LUMHS Jamshoro website. Students from Larkana, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Naushehro Feroze, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Dadu, Ghotki,  Kamber-Shahdadkot, and Khairpur will apply on the SMBBMU Larkana website. Prospectus and application forms are available ONLINE on the website of respective processing universities.

Eligibility criteria 

  • Candidates must be domiciled in Sindh
  • Candidates must have passed intermediate/HSSC Pre-Medical with a minimum of 60% 
  • MDCAT 2023 with a pass percentage for admission in MBBS is 55% and BDS is 50% 

PROCEDURE HOW TO APPLY

  • Candidates have to apply online and submit hard copies as well in TCS
  • Download and print the application form and the challan from the websites of their respective Sindh universities.
  • Candidates have to manually fill the printed application form separately for MBBS & BDS 
  • Attach the required documents as mentioned in the prospectus 
  • Challan Fee of Rs. 2500/- separate for each of the MBBS & BDS programs.

Note: The applicants must fill out both kinds of application forms i.e. online and printed.
