  • Aerospace Engineering 
  • SSC/ Equivalent Certificate with 60% marks 
  • FSc Pre-Engineering/ Equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks

IST Admissions 2024


Institute of Space Technology (IST) Islamabad has announced Fall Admissions 2023 in Engineering programs, Computer Science CS undergraduate programs UG. IST ranks at number 4 by HEC in Engineering & Technology Universities in Pakistan. 

IST Entry Test

IST doesn’t conduct its own entry test. The results of the below tests are accepted to apply for admissions

  • NAT conducted by NTS test
  • SAT-II conducted by College Board, USA 
  • NET conducted by NUST entry test Islamabad 
  • HAT/ USAT conducted by ETC HEC 
  • ECAT conducted by UET Lahore 
  • Entry Test for Engineering Programs conducted by NED Karachi

IST Merit Criteria 

Engineering Programs 

  • Matric/ Equivalent = 20% 
  • FSc  = 40% 
  • Entry Test = 40%

Science Programs

  • Matric/ Equivalent = 40%
  • FSc = 60%
  • No entry test is required for Science Programs

IST Scholarships 

Scholarships are granted based on admissions merit and semester results

  • Merit Scholarships are for top three BS students having Marks in HSSC. > 90% in each discipline 
  • Merit Scholarships FOR SUBSEQUENT SEMESTERS  are for top-three BS students having a CGPA > 3.50 
  • The Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF)
  • Ehsaas Scholarship
  • HEC Need-Based Scholarships for BS Students

  • Admission Fee = 30,000/-
  • Endowment Fund = 5,000/-
  • Library Development Fund = 5,000/-
  •  Total One Time Charges = 40,000/-
  • Per Semester Charges  Tuition Fee = 108,900
  • Service Charges = 7,000/-
  • Safe/ Smart Campus Charges = 2,000/-
  • Total Per Semester Charges = 117,900/
  • per Semester Hostel Charges = 46,000
  • Transport Charges = 22,000
  • Locker Rent = 800/-
