How to Prepare for the UET Entry Test 

If you are searching for how to prepare for the UET entry Test ECAT, we will share the tips and methodology that will help you get good marks. 

University of Engineering and Technology is a well-known university in Pakistan that offers multiple Electrical and computer sciences courses. UET has multiple campuses. UET Lahore, UET Taxila, and UET Peshawar are the most famous ones. UET conducts a combined Entry test ECAT once a year in August or September. Any Students willing to get admission to UET and Affiliated colleges have to pass the UET ECAT combined entry test.

Tokens for UET ECAT will be available at some bank branches and the ECAT Test Fee is  Rs.2500

Merit Calculation Formula:

• Matriculation = 17% 
• Intermediate = 50% 
• ECAT 2024 = 33%

Eligibility 

• should have obtained at least 60% marks in F.SC/ ICS
• should have obtained at least 60% marks in SSC

Entry Test Pattern 

• Total Marks 400 
• Total MCQs 100
• Total Time 100 minutes  
• Mathematics 30 MCQs 
• Physics 30 MCQs 
• Chemistry 30 MCQs 
• English 10 MCQs 

Entry Test Marking

For each correct MCQs, you will get 04 marks, and for each wrong Mcqs, you get -1 negative mark. if you don't attempt any mcqs it will be counted as 0 zero. so if you do not know the answer don't attempt it. 

• Un-Attempted MCQs marks = 0
• MCQs Wrong Answer  = -1
• MCQ’s Check Answer  = 4 Marks

Calculators are not Allowed

The calculator is not allowed in the UET entry test so you have to learn to solve numerical problems without calculators and memorized the important equations.

Time Management

As there are 100 MCQs and 80 minutes of time to solve all MCQs you must manage your time. Also, some difficult MCQs or Numerical types mcqs take more time. Try to solve the easier MCQs first.
