About ALLAMA IQBAL MEDICAL COLLEGE

Alama Iqbal Medical College is one of the Prestigious Medical institutes in Pakistan. It Ranks 2nd after King Edward in the UHS Ranking of Medical Colleges and A-Grade Insitute in the List of PMC Medical Colleges. Every Year thousands of students dream of getting admission to AIMC which is named after the famous Pakistani Poet Alama Muhammad Iqbal. AIMC is founded in the year 1975 as Lahore Medical College which is later named Alama Iqbal Medical College. 

AIMC has a famous Library on campus housing 28,000 books and various national and international journals. The college also has its own Auditorium. AIMC has a Sports Complex and Separate Gymnasia for Boys and Girls students.

AIMC promotes the Research and development of medical students and has successfully 3600+ PUBLICATIONS. College also has a Journal named JAIMC and it is Published annually.

Allama Iqbal Medical College Admissions in MBBS courses are regularised by UHS Lahore.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for Admissions in MBBS course are announced and set by UHS Lahore and this year Students must have 65 % marks in Pre MEdical FSC or A--levels and also cleared PMC MDCAT with passing marks of 65 % but in BSC Hons Programs students must be FSc Pre Medical with a minimum of 60% marks

Merit Criteria or Merit formula used in Merit list preparations is also regulated by UHS and provided below.

  • 40% FSc 
  • 50% PMDC MDCAT
  • 10% Matric

Fee Structure 

Allama Iqbal Medical College is a Government sector Medical college so its Fee structure is very low compared to Private sector Medical colleges in Pakistan. 
This year AIMC fee Structure is provided below
  • 18,030 for 1st Year and onwards 15,030 Years without Hostel charges
  • 35,000 approx. hostel charges annually
First-time Admissions charges in Medical colleges have to be paid by students at the time of admissions in colleges.

Apply

Students can apply to Allama Iqbal Medical College from the UHS online admissions portal which is available on UHS Website. The following documents are mandatory for candidates for admission in UHS Medical College.

UHS opens Combined Admissions in all Public sector Medical colleges so students cannot apply in Islamabad Iqbal Medical colleges separately but have to apply in all Medical colleges of PUNJAB and the select Alama Iqbal Medical college in the Colleges Preference list. If Students have enough Merit then they can secure admission in AIMC.

The AIMC hostel accommodates 1000 students, 400 nurses, and 100 internet doctors. It has separate 5 Male, 5 Female, 1 Nursing, and 1 doctor Training hostel
