SZABMU is one of the top-level Medical institutes in Pakistan. It regulates the admissions in MBBS and BDS courses in Public sector Medical colleges. There are two Public Medical and One Dental college under SZABMU. SZABMU Medical Colleges MBBS & BDS Admissions 2024

PIMS Hospital which is the largest hospital in Islamabad Capital of Pakistan is the Allied hospital of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University. 

SZABMU also Regulates multiple Medical courses including MBBS and BDS.

Advertisement for SZABMU Centralized Admissions in MBBS and BDS is Provided below.


  • Availability of Admission form on website 01 November 2023
  • The last date for submission of online admission Forms = 08 December 2023
  • Medical Board of Disabled Candidates = 12 December 2023
  • Display of Provisional Merit List = 13 December 2023 
  • Submission of Objections and Queries = 14-15 December 2023

How to Apply for SZABMU MBBS BDS Admissions

Here we will discuss how to apply for SZABMU Medical and Dental colleges in Step by step-by-step procedure. 
Applications for Admissions can be summited only online portal of SZABMU. 
  • Click 'APPLY' to create your account. 
  • After the creation of the account, Enter your details to complete your profile. 
  • Preview your application before submission. 
  • Download your challan form / Bank Deposit Slip.
  • Pay the application processing fee using your challan form in the Bank Branch
After submission of the Fee and online portal wait for some time and keep visiting the SZABMU website portal to verify your Application.

Point to be noted 

You can not edit online applications after submissions. So make sure the entered details are correct before final submissions. 

Eligibility Criteria

PMC announces the Eligibility criteria for admissions in any Public sector Medical or Dental colleges. This year PMDC announced the minimum eligibility criteria for students is follows below

  • FSC Pre Medical = 60%
  • MDCAT 55% marks for MBBS
  • MDCAT 50% marks for BDS 

SZABMU MBBS BDS Aggregate Formula

SZABMU announces the Aggregate Formula for MBBS and BDS admissions each year. IN 2021 SZABMU modified its Merit Formula and changes are provided below.

  • SSC = 10%
  • FSC = 40 %
  • MDCAT = 50%

Documents Required 

following are the mandatory documents required for admission applications in SZABMU. All candidates must prepare the SCAN Copies of these documents. 

  • Candidate CNIC/B Form No or Passport. 
  • Parents CNIC
  • Passport Size Photograph with white/blue background. 
  • Active Email and Mobile number 
  • Domicile Certificate
  • Hafiz-e-Quran certificate if the candidate claims to be Hafiz-e-Quran.
  • Detailed Marks Certificate of F.Sc or Equivalent. 
  • Matric Certificate, Matric DMC, or Equivalent
  • Detailed Marks Certificate of Matric  
Original scan documents are required and to be uploaded in JPG or PNG image format and the file size of each file should not exceed 512 KB. Students must upload each file separately.
